The 2026 First Friday season begins Friday, April 3rd, and goes through November, taking place on the First Friday of each Month at 5:30pm. Themes change monthly. Over 100 vendors from all over town will participate; offering deals, activities, pop-out shops, and more! Food trucks, nonprofits, information agencies, and other businesses bring down booths, activities and tons of fun!

    FIRST FRIDAY TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR FOOD VENDORS


    (Non-food/Retail Sales/Non-Profits/Information Only Vendors refer to the “General First Friday Terms and Conditions”)

    First Friday is a private, organized event.


    The Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to accept or deny any submitted Event application at its sole discretion. Guidelines and fees are subject to change without notice.


    Event: First Friday; Downtown Kingman First Friday

    Event Organizer(s): Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce and its authorized representatives.

    Staff/Volunteers: Individuals authorized by the Event Organizer to assist with event operations.

    Chamber Member: Vendors that are a member in good standing with Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce.

    Vendors: Any person or business approved by the Event Organizer to sell or promote goods/services during the event.

    Unauthorized Vendors/Persons: Individuals or groups not formally approved to participate by the Event Organizer.


    GENERAL EVENT GUIDELINES


    All participants must conduct themselves in a professional, respectful, and family-friendly manner. The Event Organizer reserves the right to remove any person or group for behavior or conduct deemed inappropriate, unsafe, or disruptive.


    PAYMENT

    Registration deadline is 15 days prior to the event date. A $30 late registration fee will apply to applications and/or payments submitted after the deadline date. Applications will be accepted up to 5 business days prior to the date of the event based on availability. To reserve a vendor space, the application, documents and payment in full must be received.

    Be sure to select the correct vendor category. No refunds will be issued due to overpayment.


    Acceptable forms of payment are cash, check and credit/debit card. A fee of 3.99% is applied to credit/debit payments. Make checks payable to Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce. Payments are accepted online or drop off to Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce located at 309 E. Beale St., Kingman, AZ 86401; hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 am – 5 pm, excluding holidays.


    Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce members and Season Pass holders receive priority placement in designated areas for this event. However, all vendor placements are subject to change, and the Event Organizer reserves the right to reassign or relocate any vendor at any time as necessary due to event activities, safety considerations, logistical needs, or overall event operations.


    A food vendor’s registration is considered complete only when the following documents are submitted to the Event Organizer:


    o Copy of Health Permit (as applicable)

    o Copy of Cottage Food Program License (as applicable)

    o Copy of Arizona Food Handler’s Manager Card

    o Certificates of Insurances – individually list as additional insured:

    ▪ City of Kingman – 310 N. 4th St., Kingman, AZ 86401

    ▪ Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce – 309 E. Beale St., Kingman, AZ 86401


    All licensing, certifications and insurance must be current upon submitting an Event registration. Event applications may be denied until all required documentation is provided. Documentation provided after the registration deadline date will incur a late registration fee.


    Submit all the required documentation by email to first-friday@kingmanchamber.com or mail/drop off at Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce, 309 E. Beale St., Kingman AZ 86401; hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 am – 5 pm, excluding holidays.


    INSURANCE, LICENSING & PERMITS

    Vendors must obtain and maintain all required permits, licenses and insurance for their business and products. Provide individual Certificates of Insurance showing $1,000,000 in general liability coverage and name the City of Kingman and Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce as additional insureds.

    All food vendors must comply with State of Arizona and Mohave County Health Code requirements, hold a current Mohave County Health Permit or Cottage Food Program License as applicable, or apply for a Temporary Food Service permit. For information on permits, contact the Mohave County Department of Public Health – Environmental Health Division at (928) 757-0901 or visit their office at 3250 E. Kino Avenue, Kingman, AZ 86409.


    REFUNDS

    All fees are non-refundable, except in the event an application is not approved by the Event Organizer. No refunds or credits will be issued for vendor no-shows, late arrivals, policy violations, removal from the event, weather conditions, event modifications, or voluntary withdrawal. Fees are not transferable unless expressly approved in writing by the Event Organizer.


    WATER & POWER

    No water or power will be provided. All vendors must be self-sufficient.


    BUSKING & NON-APPROVED VENDORS

    Busking and non-approved vending are prohibited. Event is a private, organized event. Registration must be completed no later than five (5) days prior to the event. Unauthorized participants will be required to leave and may be subject to trespass enforcement.


    SECURITY

    All Vendors must occupy their space during the Event Hours.

    Vendors are encouraged to carry their own liability insurance, as the Event Organizers are not responsible for any losses or damages.


    EVENT ADVERTISING, MARKETING & PHOTOGRAPHY

    Vendors are solely responsible for promoting their own business, services, and products before, during, and after the Event using their preferred marketing platforms and advertising avenues. Participation in the Event does not guarantee sales, foot traffic, or marketing exposure beyond general Event promotion conducted by the Event Organizer. Promotion by the Event Organizer is intended to market the Event as a whole and does not replace or substitute for individual vendor marketing efforts.

    Vendors agree to allow use of video and photography taken by Event Organizers at the Event for promotional purposes. Any photos taken are the property of the Event Organizers.


    SET UP

    Set up will begin at 2:00 pm and must be completed by 4:00 pm. If your application is approved, you will have an appointed spot to begin setup. Vendors arriving after 4:00 pm may forfeit their space without a refund. Vendors will not exceed their assigned space and must secure all their items.

    Vendors must unhook trailers and remove vehicles from the event area immediately after unloading. Due to limited space and appearance, all vehicles must be parked outside the designated event boundaries unless otherwise directed by the Event Organizer.

    Vendors are expected to unload efficiently and remain courteous to ensure fellow vendors have adequate access for setup.

    Vendors cannot block center of street (as applicable); it must remain open for emergency access.


    LEVELING: Be aware that the street may not be level; extra supports may be needed. Be prepared.


    CANOPIES: Vendors need to have weighted tie downs to secure canopies. Space permitting, the vendor may place tables and chairs on the side of their space.

    No spikes are allowed.

    Vendors should plan accordingly to secure their setups and protect their merchandise.

    Loose feathers, glitter, confetti, or similar materials may not be distributed, thrown, or used within the Event area. Vendors and participants are responsible for maintaining a clean and safe space.


    Fire-Safety & Fuel Requirements

    • Extinguishers: Each food truck or booth must carry at least one 2-A:10-BC dry-chemical fire extinguisher and a Class K extinguisher whenever cooking with oil or deep-fryers. Extinguishers must have current inspection tags and be clearly visible and accessible.


    • Hoods & Suppression: Any appliance that produces grease-laden vapors (e.g., fryers, grills) must be installed under a Type I exhaust hood with an automatic fire-suppression system. Hood and suppression systems must be inspected at least every six months.


    • LP-Gas: Mobile food units may carry no more than two LP-gas cylinders with a combined water capacity of 25 gallons. Hoses must be rated for 350 psig and labeled accordingly;

    copper piping is not permitted. Cylinders must be secured upright and shut off when the vehicle is in motion or unattended.


    • Cooking Location & Barriers: Equipment that produces open flames or grease vapors may not be operated under tents, canopies or other combustible coverings, and a barrier must separate cooking appliances from the public.


    • Detectors: Each vehicle must have a working carbon-monoxide detector and an LPG/propane leak indicator.

    All food vendors must comply with all current City of Kingman Fire Department regulations and Mohave County Health Department guidelines.


    TEAR DOWN

    Event hours 5:30-9 pm. Vendors may begin tear down as early as 8:30 pm and be completed by 10 pm. ALL DEBRIS CREATED BY VENDOR IS TO BE FULLY REMOVED FROM VENDOR SPACE UPON EXITING

    .

    Early departure is prohibited. Vehicles are strictly prohibited from being operated within the event street closure area until 9:00 pm. It is the responsibility of each vendor to inform all company representatives, staff, and booth participants of this guideline to ensure safety and compliance.


    GRAY WATER, TRASH DISPOSAL AND GREASE

    Vendors are responsible for disposal of any debris including but not limited to their own trash, grease, and gray water. Each vendor must remove these items at the end of the Event. Under no circumstances will grease, gray water or trash be allowed to be poured onto streets, grounds, grass areas, gutters, sidewalks, or drainage areas. Any violation of this policy may result in ejection from Event, additional cleanup fees, and potential exclusion from future events.


    MENU

    Vendors are allowed to sell only menu items that were submitted and approved during the application selection process. Additional menu items need prior written approval from Event Organizers before they are eligible for sale.

    Prices of menu items are approved during the selection process. Changes to menu pricing are not allowed without prior written approval by the Event Organizer.


    LEGAL

    Vendors execute this Agreement as independent contractors and shall at all times have complete supervision, direction, and control over their services to fulfill requirements. Vendors execute this agreement as independent contractors, not as an employee of Event. Vendors will assume responsibility for appropriate payment of payroll taxes and charges under applicable state, federal and local law. Vendors agree to take complete responsibility for paying the appropriate federal and state taxes as independent contractors.


    VEHICLE OPERATION & PARKING

    To ensure public safety, vehicles may not be operated within the event street closure between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM without explicit consent from the Event Organizer.

    No pull vehicles or personal vehicles are allowed to park in the vendor space during the event hours from 5 pm to 9 pm without explicit consent from the Event Organizer. Due to limited space and appearance, vehicles must be parked outside of the event street closure.


    Vendors with oversized vehicles or trailers should notify Event Organizers in advance for designated parking instructions.

    All attendees and participants must follow local parking laws and respect private and public property.


    BICYCLES & WHEELED DEVICES SAFETY

    Bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, scooters, and other wheeled devices must be operated in a safe and controlled manner within the event area. Reckless riding, excessive speed, or behavior that poses a risk to attendees or vendors is strictly prohibited. Event Organizers reserve the right to remove or trespass individuals who fail to comply with these safety requirements.


    ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION

    Alcohol consumption is restricted to individuals 21 years of age or older. Open alcohol containers are not permitted within the general event area and may only be consumed within clearly designated and approved consumption areas. Guests wishing to enjoy alcoholic beverages must remain within the boundaries of participating licensed businesses, approved outdoor dining areas, or specifically marked event spaces.


    AMENDMENTS AND ENFORCEMENT

    These policies may be updated at any time by the Event Organizer with or without notice. By attending or participating in the Event, vendor agrees to comply with the most current event policies.

    Failure to comply with any section of this policy may result in removal of the event without refund and possible exclusion from future events.


    HOLD HARMLESS

    Vendors, by execution of this form, assume all responsibility and liability for losses, damages, and claims resulting from any injury to persons, including, but not limited to, injuries to customers or agents of vendor, or damages to vendor display, equipment or other property brought on to the Event premises. Vendor shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce and City of Kingman, of Mohave County, Arizona, its respective agents, officers, directors, servants, employees, volunteers, guests, and their representatives: from any and all such damages, injuries or losses resulting from fire, electricity, water, storm, riot, smoke, accident, acts of terrorism or any other cause while they are inside the Event premises.


    Vendors further agrees and understands that the Vendor has the sole responsibility, at all times, to be knowledgeable about, fully understand and to meet or exceed all local, County, State and Federal Codes, laws, policies, and regulations associated with the vendor business/product including but not limited to the provisions of the City of Kingman Municipal Code and other city

    documents, permits, requirements and or correspondence as well as Mohave County Health Codes.


    Failure to comply with the Terms and Conditions may result in ejection from Event and potential exclusion from future events: and no refunds will be issued.

  • What is Downtown Kingman First Fridays?

    Downtown Kingman First Fridays is a seasonal, monthly block party that takes over 1st Street thru 6th Street all the way down Beale Street in Downtown Kingman Arizona. 


    The 2026 event season runs April to November and takes places on the 1st Friday of each month. The party starts at 5:30pm and goes until 9:00pm (officially). The vendors on the street will start breaking down at 9:00pm but you are welcome to continue enjoying the Downtown restaurants, shops and bars that stay open late on Friday nights. 



    Downtown Kingman First Fridays is produced by the Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce.

  • Can I bring my own alcohol to the First Friday event?

     

    No. Bringing outside alcohol is not allowed. Alcohol must be purchased and consumed within designated licensed areas.

    Yes. First Friday is designed to be a community event that benefits local businesses and residents of all ages.

  • How much does it cost to attend?

    Downtown Kingman First Fridays are FREE to attend. Guests who come on down and walk the street can enjoy music, art and kids activities brought to you by our sponsors, partners and Chamber Members. 


    In addition to each month's FREE activities, we welcome guests to visit and shop at the Downtown Kingman retail stores who stay open late, enjoy food from local restaurants or food trucks and visit pop-up vendors with curated items for sale. 


    Attendees can purchase food, beverages, and retail items from participating restaurants, storefronts, and vendors. Prices are set by individual businesses and vendors. 

     

  • How can I be a vendor?

    Applications may be submitted online.


    Booth Spaces are 10′ x 10′ and Vendors may purchase more than 1 booth if space permits and at the discretion of Kingman Chamber. 

    Registration closes 15 days prior to the event dates. 


    Applications received after the registration deadline date are subject to Kingman Chamber discretion and a late registration fee.


    To reserve your space, the application, payment in full and required documents must be received.


    Acceptable forms of payment are cash, check and credit/debit card. A fee of 3.99% is applied to credit/debit payments. All payments are non-refundable except in cases where an application is not approved. Multiple months may be selected during the registration process.


    Street closures on Beale St. are April through November.

    The Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to accept or deny any submitted First Friday application at its sole discretion.

  • Can I show up and set up a tent or show up and play music?

    While we absolutley love the enthusiasm of our community artists for First Fridays, who want to just come on down and set up,  we do need to make sure all vendors, pop-ups, musicians, or activities are properly registered, licnesed and insured IN ADVANCE of the event.

  • What time does Beale Street close down?

    The street closure is from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Any unauthorized vehicle remaining within the closure after 12 PM will be towed. 


  • Where are the street closures for First Friday?

    Beale Street will be closed from 1st Street to 6th Street. 


    The following streets will be closed up to the alleyways in both north and south directions from Beale Street: 


    1st Street, 2nd Street, 3rd Street, 4th Street and 5th Street 


    How long will the street closure last? 

    The street closure is from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. 

     

    Will my vehicle be towed if I am parked within the street closure? 

    Yes. Any unauthorized vehicle remaining within the closure after 12 PM will be towed. 

  • Will my vehicle be towed if I stay parked inside the street closure?

    Yes. Any unauthorized vehicle remaining within the closure after 12 PM will be towed. 


  • Where is the First Fridays Booth located?

    Stop by the Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce booth / offices if you need assistance during First Friday. We are located at 309 E. Beale Street between 3rd Street and 4th Street inside the Mohave College Beale Street Center. Our booth will be set up out front. 


    If you require minor First Aid supplies please visit the Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce Office inside Mohave College Beale St. Center. If you require major Medical assistance or are having a medical emergency please dial 911 on your telephone to access emergency services. 

  • Can I openly carry alcohol within the street closure?


    No. Alcohol consumption is only permitted within businesses that hold a valid liquor license and/or in their designated extension of premises as approved by the City of Kingman and the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control. 

     


     


  • Will there be public restrooms available?

    Yes. Portable toilets will be available. Some downtown businesses may also allow restroom access at their discretion. 

  • Is there designated parking for the event?

    Attendees may park legally in designated areas outside the street closure. Any unlawfully parked vehicles may be towed. All drivers must adhere to state and city parking regulations.  



  • Is there designated handicap parking?

    Yes, there may be handicapped parking spots available outside the street closure. Vehicles must be parked legally in designated areas. 

  • Are coasting vehicles/wheeled vehicles/wheeled devices allowed within the street closure?

    Yes, however operating these devices in a reckless, unsafe or erratic manner that interferes with pedestrian or vehicular traffic is prohibited. Violators will be trespassed. 

     

    Coasting vehicles include bicycles, skateboards, scooters, skates, unicycles, one-wheels, and any other wheeled vehicle/device. 


  • Are emergency services available at the First Friday event?

    For any medical or non-medical emergencies, call 911. A first aid kit will be available at the Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce booth located in the block between 3rd Street and 4th Street. The address is 309 E. Beale St. at the Mohave College Beale St. Center.

  • What happens if there is bad weather?

    First Friday may be postponed or canceled at the discretion of the Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce and First Friday Organizing Committee.
